Modern Prairie

Emerged in the United States during the Arts & Crafts movement in the late 1800s. This type of design has sharp angles, bold horizontal lines, and low-pitched hip roofs. It is common for this style to combine concrete, stone, and wood. The incorporation of glass and huge windows as an exterior showcase is also characteristic of modern prairie architecture.
